In the past few months I keep having these dreams where I lose control of my car, twice this weekend. I have been in two car accidents, rear ended, in the past few months. I actually had the dreams before the accidents. The dreams are nothing like real life, except that I am having car accidents.
My dream last night I dreamt someone else was driving my Jeep. I was out of the Jeep watching them drive. I saw them lose control, the Jeep roll over down a hill and land on a huge rock. I held my breath waiting to see what happened next when the Jeep rolled over one last time and went into a lake.
In my dream I was thinking well that’s it for my Jeep, finally.
I didn't know the people in my dream last night who rolled my Jeep.

Dreams mean sometimes more, and sometimes less, than we think. And the body is more aware than we might think, while we are dreaming.
One theory of dreaming is that the brain, in a relaxed state, is reviewing and organizing past events, and "filing" them. However when you dream the dreams that you remember, you are in "rem" sleep, and you don't move. But since the body is aware that you aren't moving, the body feeds the fact of lack of movement right back into the dream, and it tells your dream that you aren't moving, or worse, that you can't move, and all of a sudden, the dream becomes a bad dream, because you are dreaming that you are helpless.
I wouldn't worry about the helpless or immobile feeling in dreams. It's just a feedback from your actual state, which is motionless, during rem sleep.
So if you subtract the helpless or out-of control feeling, you have a dream about a car. Or is it just a dream that someone else is driving your car? It may be as simple as that.

Sometimes the line between what is really happening and a dream can and do come together.
Your Jeep is not affording you a complete picture of what is around you-blind spots. As in most Jeeps or suv's, you cannot see all around you as well as when you are driving a car. This is one of the problems of owning a Jeep or suv, along with the problems of gas consumption and a high center of gravity (which makes a Jeep susceptible to rolling over). This fact is something you obviously know. This is reality.
Someone else driving your Jeep is that someone else who is causing you the mental discomfort within your enclosure-home and or commitments.. You are obviously more worried about the Jeep, enclosure, than about the person in the Jeep causing you so much discomfort...that's it for my Jeep, finally.
The dreams and any personal problem's are coming together. The water usually indicates a visual medium that is often related to travel or movement. You are very concerned about something 'crashing' and going horribly wrong in your personal life. The Jeep is an enclosure in the dream, but, in real life can be related to a home or family where one travels in and with.
'In my dream I was thinking well that's it for my Jeep, finally'. It is as if the enclosure, home- family life, religious or some group connection that is causing you discomfort is over and a sigh of relief is expressed,,,that's it for my jeep, finally.
However, the dream ends and the nightmare begins not with the Jeep, but, with you being left out in the open, vulnerable, and no longer part of that enclosure. You seem to be able to accept the dream of the Jeep being drawn to a finality, conclusion. But, suddenly and abruptly it becomes a 'now what do I do situation'.
It appears there is horror and doubt coming together by the problems of owning a Jeep and the problems that are deeply troubling you. This is normal and as an amateur psychologist and former corrections officer, who witnessed many an inmate waking up in the middle of the night screaming from the horror of being in jail.
A little conversation and some extra time spent with a prisoner often eased their situation. It's normal for people to want to talk with someone and convey their feelings. All people, whether prisoner or straight, become very human and express similiar experiences, where and when a dream and reality mesh into one.
As difficult as it is, try talking to someone who is a friend without dumping on them your problems. Someone you can trust and not to joke or laugh at what is going on in yor life. It may be time for your to be making some type of decision with your life. Basically, what you want to do is PLan AhEaD...
Give yourslf a clearer picture of what you want to do after the 'crash' in very specific and detail terms and things might ease up and you may be able to sleep better.
From an amateur pysychologist who worked in the jails of New York, speaking...

First of all, dreaming of accident before it happens could be just coincidental. It may be the fact that you can't concentrate much and it caused you the real accident. You don't need to go crazy about it.
However, your dream seems to tell you that you or someone else were losing control in the car. This could mean that you have anxiety about controlling something. CAR is one of the things you can control.
In your dream, your projected it and so you decided unconsciously you either run into or witness accident.
I say you should take things seriously and slowly from now on. And concentrate more on details or these dreams will haunt in your mind.
If in life, you indeed are not able to control lot of things, like family decision, job related decision. That may contribute some sort of stress and anxiety. Your mind basically tries to vent it out in dream and unfortunately your mind vent it out in a negative way. --- accident in your dream
I could be wrong, but this is how I see why you dreamt about accident

I know I have dreams like that too. Someone I knew died in a terrible car accident so I'm guessing that's why. I've been reading a psychology book lately and believe it or not you can control your own thoughts but you have to help yourself. Try to relax before bed and read a good book, or watch a good movie, and keep thinking you're going to have a good night sleep and everything will be ok. If you drive carefully nothing's going to happen, that will calm you down on a sub concious level as well. Hope this advice helps.

The happenings, I mean accidents, some times are known to us by means of dreams. It is called 6th sense.
I had the same experience. I used to dream of our car getting over turned, loosing control etc., frequently during a month. i had planned to go to a temple with my family. I thought of going by bus, but at the nth moment decided to go by car, deciding to drive carefully.
While returning from the temple, a bus coming from the opposite side hit my car's rear and damaged rear door. Luckily, my daughter sitting in the back seat was safe. No body was hurt, but the car was damaged to some extent.
After this accident, the dreaming of the accident stopped completely.
This is not a story, REAL HAPPENING.
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO THIS INCIDENCE?
