Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. was founded in 1963 in Sant'Agata Bolognese, a small village between Bologna and Modena, Italy, by Ferruccio Lamborghini

The company's first car, the 350 GTV was introduced at the Turin Motor Show in the fall of 1963 and the production started, with the model 350 GT the year after, and this was followed in the sixties and the early seventies by the legendary Miura, Islero, Espada, Jarama and Countach.

The car line was started by a man named after its founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, he was a tractor builder and race car driver. The most common (and official) version of the story is that he was dissatisfied with the Ferreris of the time and when he went to Enzo with his complaints. Enzo said he wasn't going to listen to a tractor builder, So Ferruccio decided to build his own cars and beat Enzo.

Mr. Lamborghini sold the company in 1972, he past away in 1993.
Believe it or not the company is now part of the Audi company.
Lamborghini tractors are still in production, however they have been built by someone else since 1971
