Yuck. I hate feeding mine pinkies. It looks like bubble gum after she starts digesting it! I usually feed my choca golden knee large gutloaded crickets (a few a week). I don't think it's really healthy for them to eat mice all the time, not to mention if the spiders not hungry the mouse can attack it. I would just let your spider go a couple weeks and try a big cricket. They can get fussy just like snakes if they only get the equivelant to juicy steaks every feeding!

I feed all my rats on pets at home rat nuggets. If you don't live in the Uk then just get something similar. It is best to get the foods which are nuggets (all look the same) they contain all proteins etc needed for your rats diet, and they can't be picky, choosing the foods that they like! :) Make sure to give them bits of cooked egg yolk and chicken, along with some fresh fruit and vegetables several times a week and you'll have a set of healthy ratties! Good luck,

have you tried feeding frozen mice? All you have to do is thaw it is some warm water. it is not as messy i don't think. also you can feed the large crickets or grasshoppers. Some pet stores or reptile stores will carry the grasshoppers and large crickets.

Depends on what kind of tarantula. If it's a bird eater, you are kinda' stuck feeding it live mice.

Why do you watch it feed? If you find it gross when he EATS it then feed him by dropping the mouse in and then go away, don't watch him eat. He will proably be happier too, after all who wants to have something hovering over them as they feed.
