Well, unfortunately, there are very few if any real pictures of any of these creatures. If there were good, genuine pictures of them, they wouldn't be considered mythical/cryptozoological anymore.

A pretty good source for any strange/unknown beasties is http://www.cryptozoology.com/

They have forums (fora?) on a wide variety of cryptids, and pretty good recent news links about many of them.

I can recall back in the 60's there was an outbreak of flying cats in London, Ont. I can distinctly remember a picture in the London Free Press of a woman holding what appeared to be a black cat and spreading its three-foot wings. One was shot to earth from a height of twenty feet above the ground. It was explained away at the time by 'extra tufts of fur' on the cat's shoulders. Now that I'm a graduate of aeronautics that explanation makes no sense at all. A) extra tufts of fur will not get a five-pound cat airborne. You need muscle powered wings for that. B) At no time in their evelutionary past were cats ever flying creatures. They're simply not designed for flight. To this day I have no explanation for this odd incident but I do know it happened.
