Log into eBay and submit a formal request to close your account. http://cgi1.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?CloseAccount
Notes
If you've listed or bid on an item recently, eBay requires a waiting period of 180 days before closing your account. During the waiting period, you won't be able to bid, make purchases, list items, or change your contact information - but you'll still have access to your account information.
When the waiting period is over, you'll receive an email confirming that your account has been closed. After this, you'll no longer be able to access any part of eBay that requires an account, and your feedback profile will no longer be available to other members.
Before closing your account, be sure that the balance in your seller's account is paid in full or that you've received a refund, if one is due.
The feedback you've left for other users will not be deleted when you close your account. If your User ID is your email address, you may wish to change your User ID before requesting account closure.
You might receive email from eBay for up to two weeks after closing your account. After this, eBay will not contact you, except to collect outstanding fees if your account has not been fully paid.
