1-Slow business decisions (thus causing inflexibility and sluggish response to market changes).
2-Risk of taking wrong or inappropriate decisions (in case poor communication leads to misunderstanding and thus wrong implementation or execution). This can cause both waste of resources and loss of image and goodwill (as well as risk of having to pay fines or penalties in case wrong decisions have caused any type of damage for some internal or external stakeholders).
3-Poor communication causes the motivational levels of staff to drop (especially those employees at the lower levels of the organizational hierarchy). This is called "employee alienation."
4-Poor communication makes it difficult for the firm's management to get valuable inputs and suggestions from customers and employees. This can cause things not to improve over time and thus unfavorable decisions can be expected from these two critical stakeholders.
