I am disheartened by the silence of domestic Iraqis applauding our hard fought efforts to free their country. I am equally disheartened by the silence of domestic Muslims condemning radical islam.

I hear you bro! Here in the UK i was amazed to see how many Muslims vented their anger against the Danish newspaper responsible for the Allah cartoons but when radical fundamentalist go on the terror rampage, you have the usual one or two clerics saying that its just a minority of extremist BUT no protest marches or anything like that as in the case of the Danish cartoons. Why not?

Then there is the case of the UK government trying deport suspected fundamentalist such as Baba Ahmad. I know he isnt the only one and unlike Abu-Hamza nothing has actually been proven in the UK but the US most certainly want to speak to these guys and seem to have huge cases against them. SO the Muslims make themselves heard saying Baba Ahmad wouldnt get a fair trial in the US, they speak on TV and on radio in their tens, hundreds even more but when another terror plot is discovered e.g the plot to destroy planes in Canary Wharf, London and poison our waters, those same muslims are nowhere to be seen! Do you trust them? Me, no! Is it surprising that i dont? Do you need to ask?

I hear via our political media wing that its claimed around 400,000 UK muslims sympathise with Al-Queda anc considering there are about 3million Uk muslim citizens that is quite a sizeable percentage of peeps 'sympathize' with Al-Queda dont you think? From that figure the 'minority of extremist' is bourne? Most probably but its still a hefty figure of 'sympathizers' is it not?

Domestic Iraqs - Fairly i have heard of some Iraqis who have applauded our boys in Iraq again via the media. However i am confused whenever the liberals such as George Galloway and co play this down. Im sure he has been to Iraq but half of his brain-washed followers, i bet, havent So are they qualified to argue against those who have actually come here from Iraq to escape the fighting and who sing praise for our boys doing the job over there? You decide

Finally i understand that Islam prevents followers speaking out against it but what about speaking out against the radical fundamentalist? This i feel is not dne nearly enough!

a tremendous kind of Muslims placed on Western outfits. along with women. So even at rallies you under no circumstances comprehend if that "Mexican" is unquestionably a Lebanese Muslim lady. also, even as there are rallies on the challenge of Islam and being antagonistic to terrorism, people take that factor to shout out about how all Muslims must be killed. even as adult adult males gown in Western outfits each of the time, women staring at hijab are quite obtrusive and may be made objectives. The very last time I even walked to the keep interior 5 blocks of a rally (no longer even attending), people from the rally yanked the again of my hijab so demanding it lifted me off my ft and left a bruise below my neck the position it changed into pinned. SO- the reason there is "concern". we don't love your extremists both.

Because they are enjoying the fifth amendment, freedom of (non) speech, all under the umbrella of freedom of religion under the blessings of this great country's Constitution that OUR sons are preserving with their lives in Iraq. They all know our culture is superior but will not voice it. They are a silent reverse minority.

Addenda: It is beyond me how a religion whose followers devotedly pray several times a day also mercilessly kill people of all ages, torture them, restrain their women, and stand as macho men with armaments but with covered faces publicly murdering innocent people--talk about cowardice.

What they will ever will do with their so-called virgins that they will get in THEIR "heaven" is ridiculous because not having bodies, they will not be able to even touch them, so what do they expect to do to/with them? Talk about hell!!

There are fine people in every culture, only the evil ones make the headlines with their vile practices.

But the question is, how many truely condem it, maybe there is a small part of them which agrees hence the silence.

I know many of the elders like to think it doesnt happen. Its very much a policy of ignore it and the problem goes away.

um, i have not noticed them being silent.
perhaps they are not covered in the media you read/watch.
but trust me they are speaking out.
I mean muslims condemning radical islam.
i can see why iraquis wouldn't be so happy about our hard fought efforts to free their country. basically it is worse off than when we got there by almost every measure. so how did we help?

Islam does not permit a "follower" to speak against their religion. If they do, they are not considered a "true" follower of Islam.

Besides, their freaking stinking mullahs would condemn them to death for speaking out.
