Maybe your keyboard is not installed correctly due to different manufacturing company such as the CPU is from dell and keyboard is from microsoft. If the problem is that, you need to connect back the manufacturer's keyboard to the CPU then when you are in windows, plug out the keyboard cable, plug in the desired keyboard cable and ty to install it. See if it works.

How are you typing without a keyboard?
What kind of keyboard is it? USB?
If it is USB, try a different USB slot.
If it is a standard PS/2 keyboard, try unplugging it after your computer boots and then plugging it back in.
Try booting your computer in safe mode to see if there is any difference.

try this
right click on my computer
click manage
then highlight device manager
then on the right side youll see a list of items installed on your pc
click on keyboards
then your keyboard should show up right under that
right click your keyboard
then uninstall
then at the top of the chain you will see your computer name
rigght click on that
then click scan for hardware changes
the computer will reinstall your keyboard
and hopefully fix your problem

Put the num lock key on when the light comes on then don't touch it on any more. As long as the light is on just above the key then you should be able to use your keyboard.

ok this is the thing...goto the setup mode by pressing F2 when the computer boots up, then there should be a selection where it sais "Load setup" or "Load boot setup", then there hopefully it will set your keyboard back to normal.
