I have really bad acne all over. I use benzoyl peroxcide, Differin adapalene gel, and minocycline, along with a face wash called Skin Milk. Depending on how contstant I am with these three meds, I get good to bad results. But no, your acne will go away eventually. My sister used to have acne like mine but now she hardly has any. The only thing to really get rid of acne is time.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

dermatologically, there are many things that can be done to smooth the appearnace of cystic acne as well as the scars that result. If you have insurance, you might want to look into accutane. This is a perscription drug that often clears up acne for good and you only take it for a cycle. You could also inquire about acid peels and laser treatments. Talk to your doctor and find out what is avialable. you have to realize that you are young and that your hormones are going wild. watch your diet and drink LOTS of water and follow a morning/evening cleaning regamin (you can ask your doctor what is appropriate here as well). Dont think that this has ruined your life. it HAS NOT. you'll get past this. Stay positive!

you should actually switch up the type of acne medication you use every couple of months b/c your body becomes immune to the medication just like how ppl become immune to amoxicillin ur body gets used to the chemicals and doesnt work anymore after about 6 months u should switch to acne creame with salyic acid instead of benzoyl peroxide.. and then you can go back to benzoyl

The doctor told me that generally acne on lasts a few years. But it's been six years, and while I have less acne my skin is never completely clear. I've tried all the treatments, and I'm with you I don't want to do this the rest of my life.

it depends on your skin. many people only have acne in their teens, but some of us conrinue to get breakouts forever. im in my 30s and still break out around my period. but you wont become dependent on the benzoyl, you wont get rebound pimples if you stop using it
