I haven't updated my glider knowlege lately, but I believe they are insectivores, eating insects in the wild, supplemented with fruit and nuts. Diet is pretty important for a sugar glider, so you should look up as many websites, books, and magazine info as you can and choose the best diet plan from there. I never go from just 1 or 2 sources. For my hedgehogs, which are also insectivores, I used 2 or 3 different staple hedgehog diets, alternatingly, and supplemented that with baby food, bits of fruit, gutloaded insects from the pet store (crickets, mealworms, and a worm once in a while from my garden) and tiny bits of meat (chicken, fish) for a treat. He loved hunting around for the bugs... I think the mental stimulation was really important for his happiness. I think this is the same basic diet for a glider, hope this gives you some ideas!

They like fruit (bananas, grapes, apples, etc.), and you need to pick up some glider-aid. It's a powder that you mix with water to make a sort of necter. They like that. I also used to give mine some juice.
