I am trying to find a film I remember seeing once: Disaster film. 70s. Set on a plane in space. Any ideas? I remember one scene where passengers were being passed through a tube between planes, but it collapsed with people inside!

Ringo711 has it correct. There is a scene in the movie where they relocate the passengers from the 'hypersonic' plane onto a shuttle to get them back. (Don't think putting them on a shuttle made them any safer.)

Your dates are a little off, the movie was made in 1983.

I think it was one of the "Airplane77" "78" etc. That one starred Charlton Heston, I think.
