Many family members birthdays will be in August...my husband and his sister share the same day and mine and my nephews are that same week. I have been sooo overwhelmed by the disatrous news stories and killing and fighting that Iam going to cheer everyone up with a party...Also since my brother-in-law has returned from iraq alive I want to think happy thoughts. Please share your creative ideas!

I would choose a poolside hawaain party. They have the grass skirts, coconut shell tops and everything at your local Michaels Arts and Crafts Store. They even have the music on a CD. I think especially under the circumstances you mentioned it would be a great theme to use to relax everyone and a good atmosphere for them, if just for a little while. It will also be so hot in August, what better way to cool down. The kids off course will benefit from those virgin fruit juice drinks with their little umbrella's so they won't feel left out if adults have a tropical drink of their own. Hey this sounds better and better! I think I might go plan a party for myself. Enjoy!!!

I recently had an 80's theme party and it was awesome! Everybody loved being able to dress up and enjoyed the music too. I've thought about having other theme parties like a toga party, or famous people theme, anything that requires guests to dress up is always a lot of fun among adults!

probably a WWE themed party cos I'm into wrestling. or maybe something from when you were a kid, if that was the case I'd have a Simpsons party

i always have a themed b-day party. my favorite was proboly the hawian or mexican ones
