You get this set up right at the beginning.

"I charge $8 an hour for baby-sitting." If you don't get paid, have your parents help in squeezing them.

Hello, You should probably get a payment in advance when they drop off the child.

That's the only way I can see you getting paid if you can't ask once the service has been provided.

You are providing a service! Also If they don't pay refuse to babysit for them ever again..give them an ITEMIZED BILL of what they owe. It is just rude of them not to pay you. good luck.

In a nice way, tell them you can't afford to not be paid and your truly sorry but its either the money or they have to find someone else to watch the kid(s)! Come on hun, you can't go around letting people walk on you, when you do that, then those people tend to take advantage of you and that is EXACTLY what is happening to you right now! If they cannot afford to pay you in full, then you should try to work out some sort of payment agreement. I hope things work out for you

You can politely tell them that you won't work anymore until they're payments are caught up. Everyone has money problems sometime or other, try to be sympathetic to the situation, but be firm. Good Luck!

Why are you complaining if you never ask them for the money! Just ASK!

Ask them for the money! You've given them a service but they haven't given you the money. You're legally enitled to get the money. Next time just say well that'll be £30 please! Or however much you charge!

you seem like a great person, and that's the good in you, but if they dont pay you soon, give them a call and say you can't do it anymore till they pay you in full first,
stand up for yourself

Why should you be afraid? You have to fight for yourself or no one will. I was also meek before, but now I ask what I deserve.

Let them know that your services are not free and ask them for payment.
