After complete black out screen can be revived by unplugging and replugging at mains but problem remains

Could be the refresh rate be set too high/low..

Get someone who knows what they are doing to check it.. I would highly recommend you do NOT alter it yourself, as a refesg rate set too high can cause the monitor to blow (as I discovered once at work)

Several reasons, could be the transformer, maybe the connection, etc, Try it on another computer. If it has failed, not likely worth repairing.
