Punishment - can be court marshaled for it. But that doesn't happen anymore.
Reward may be giving spouse divorce so spouse can just be morally corrupt without impacting you.

Talk to the chief (I'm not sure if that's what it is called in the Marines) about it, and he/she will let you know if there is a punishment in the military for adultery, and if so, what it will be.

As for you, dont't wait around for the military to punish him, you should be filing for divorce, if he cheated on you.

you get his entire pension from the service in which he serves; demotion; on permanent record; you also get to use law services from the marines (if you get to a lawyer first. then he has to pay for his own private lawyer)

WyoHunter, just happened to a friend of mine (Quantico) and she got his ENTIRE pension. he was having an affair with his commanding officers' wife and he found out. as a matter of fact she got everything; the house (750,000) , cars (all 4) , kid , pension , 1/2 of what he earns now , retirement (all of it) , everything that was in the house ( electronics , power saws , bicycles , etc. ). all he walked away with were the clothes on his back and 1/2 of his present ( and future - in case he gets a 'raise' ) pay - before he pays his taxes and insurances and money market accounts.

twoodshair, you are so wrong. A spouse can get a maximum of 50% of a military members pension. A lttle thing called the Uniformed Services Former Spouses Act passed in 1982 ensured that. However, in my opinion, a former spouse who never put on a uniform should never get any military pension.

DIVORCE + Half if not more of everything, but remember you must have proof unless they are willing to tell the truth, in most cases it does not happen.
