Because he is a war-time president. All past presidents during a war went through the same thing too. Roosevelt swore alot and everyone had to make a big deal of it. Bush is under so much pressure and scrutiny right now. It is very unfair. He is only human, but there are ALWAYS people out there just waiting to jump on his every word. I think he is doing the best he can under the circumstances. As far as Clinton goes, he got away with alot but many didn't and still don't know about it. He was not as valuable as President Bush is. Many thought and still do think of Clinton as a joke.

Frankly, I couldn't be bothered. Bush is lier and I doubt very much a religious man. If you examine the bible closely, old or new, it states killing is pretty much a bad thing. He used religion for connections and to absolve himself of guilt and to increase his voting numbers. Because for whatever reason, the religious right are super rich and turn out to vote. Hell, Bush isn't even a real Texan. He was born and raised in the north-east and didn't move to Texas till the years after college. So why the accent and the "rancher" persona. Simple, it sells. So it really shouldn't surprise anyone that the man curses in private. Doesn't everyone? Also, show me where in the bible it says not to curse? Bottom line, the president is a low-brow and doesn't really care about anything but money. Reminds me of Jeb from Oklahoma the musical.

a president in this country can't do ****, second of all Bush is seen as a pure highly religious right winger, you know the people with their panties in a bunch. I guess this just shows that our president can't speak above a tenth grade level, whatelse would you expect from the guy who can't say nuclear. And as far as clinton goes I believe he got indicted for messing around with cigars.

Other than it being a lack of decorum, it's not the first time Bush has cussed in public. About 5 years ago, not realizing his microphone was still on, he called a NYTimes (?) reporter named Clymer an *******. True statement, but improper.

"S#*!" translates into every language on the planet. Mom got that one off now and again, and she didn't have to think about Syria and the Hezbolla terrorists. I'll bet Ronald Reagan, Joe Lieberman and Pope John Paul may have been aggravated enough once in their lives to say S#*!, but I like them all, and George Bush too.

Because people are hypocrits. They probably said something along the lines of "can you believe that son of a b**** cussed!?"

And if there was no sin, there would be no need for church. We all try to be perfect but we all fall short, some shorter than others.

I had not heard that he made that statement, but I believe that ppl would view it as wrong simply because he is a Christian and should not be speaking cuss words such as that. However, he is right.

I think it's funny. And I can tell you that if in the remote chance that I was ever president... I would cuss a lot too. I wouldn't care. Thats just how I am.
