I dont recycle dental floss or napkins. That is just nasty and setting myself and others up to get sick...
But I do things such as when I get to the bottom of the shampoo bottle, laundry soap bottle etc I will add water and make sure I am not leaving ANY in the bottom. Get at least two more washes out of it that way.
I also tend to buy things in bulk.
I have also learned how to make a pound of ground turkey or ground beef stretch to two or three or more meals.
And when shopping if I can not get it on the clearance rack or a VERY good sale chances are I will not get it.

Here are some of the things that I can remember doing at different times in my life or that I can suggest:
1) vigilantly turning off lights and electronics that weren't in use to save on the light bill
2) using coupons
3) buying generic items as opposed to name brand
4) buying staple food items like potatoes instead of processed foods like T.V. dinners
5) drinking water or Kool Aid instead of soda
6) not eating out--waiting and having a sandwich at home rather than spending money on restaurants
7) NEVER reused dental floss, napkins, or toilet paper--wouldn't advise it! :-)
8) during winter, keeping the heat turned down and just wearing sweaters and such to keep warm.
9) shopping at yard sales, used clothing stores, etc.

To save money on sewage I don't flush the toilet unless its solid waste. Sure the house smells of evaporating urine but it saves me about 3 or 4 bucks a month and over long enough time-line that's a significant savings.

we have a garden in which we grow veggies, a few times through each season I'll go in evening and pick strawberries ,raspberries and blueberries and freeze them, I shop at thrift stores and we seldom eat out as we both are decent cooks, I recycle gift bags (reuse)....we return any bottles and containers for refunds, a few times a week instead of taking my own car to work my husband will drop me off and lastly we have a fireplace we use almost nonstop through the winter.....all this allows us two both take a month a year worth of holidays

I sometimes write companies to get free samples. I am also a member of different freebie sites. My husband saves napkins from fast food restuarants.

Ask for a lot of condiments at restaurants. Especially fast food places.
Napkins, ketchup, salad dressing, salt pepper, etc.
Shopping for clothes and other things at 2nd hand stores or going garage selling is fun.
I cut everyone's hair at home.
