Plato called it the "divine lie" it is a fundimental lie you tell everybody to get them to work together, like God wants you to do this. Since nobody questions it it is perfect. It is at the very source of society so it effects everything and yet it could be anything like arian superiorty. We all know what that did for the Nazis. And when the war was over it was hard to convict anybody for what they did because it was all because of a divine lie. What if the divine lie were you have to die to go to heaven? How would it be if you didn't have to die at all? Think about it.

People would like to believe that the perfect crime is the one that you get away with, but it would have to be more then that. It would have to be more then a lack of evidence, or the jury not putting you away, it would have to be one where the police don't even suspect you. It would mean that people would not know there was a crime taking place until well after it was over, also to be perfect it would have to be the largest to date, as to show it's ability to work. As for getting away with it, 100 years ago maybe, but with today's Forensic Science and abilities, I doubt there is a such thing as a perfect crime.

Did you see the movie by Woody Allen, 'Match Point'? I thought that came pretty close to the perfect crime. The perfect crime is one in which you get away with the crime and you can live with yourself after. Throughout the movie, we think the guy is going to get caught because the police are on to him. But the ending has a twist. I won't give it away in case you haven't seen it.
On the flip side, there is a short story by Poe, where the guy commits the perfect crime by making a candle out of noxious wax that poisons his friend. He inherits his friend's fortune, gets away with his murder, but can't live with himself and eventually confesses, even though no one would have ever found out that he did it. It's all a matter of conscience.

Tupac's death. To make the world think you have been murdered, escape all of the people who wanted to have you killed, run with all kinds of money, and have lots of music pre-recorded to sell VOLUMES after you are "dead". That is what I call the perfect crime. He is probably living it up on some island without a care in the world.
I am not being facetious here. I truly believe that this is the truth. Elvis, Notorious B.I.G., etc...they are all dead.

There is no perfect crime, only a perfect God that can see everything and has evidence to show it...

If You'd have "Columbo" on the case, there wouldn't be any crime. I don't really believe there is the perfect crime. There is ALWAYS evidence. DNA....is everywhere!

There is no 'perfect crime'. As we're all connected to nature and to disrupt aspects of it is to disrupt aspects of ourselves.

Since it's so perfect, the criminals haven't be caught yet to tell all about it.
