No, Because the Glock 18 is an automatic weapon and was manufactured and assembled after the National Firearms Act of 1986, it is not legal for the average citizen to own. We can, as Americans, own full-auto or select-fire weapons after submitting to various background checks and paying a $200 tax, but only if the weapon in question was assembled prior to the NFA of 1986.

Hey Pard
Each state has made up it's own laws and each of them have violated the constitution to the point of treason. how ever this may be it is dependent of your under standing of the state laws you live in and how they are written. you can not own a real full automatic, but the semi auto requires that to expend 1 round each time requires that you MUST pull the trigger each time to do so. I'm very sure that this is the case for you, also if you have clips that carry more than 10 rounds and when did it fall under the laws by the date the gun was made..
To make sure that you do not violate your state laws ask for a class in carry conceal and if it's being offered in your state, but make no squabble -- you had better make sure that the use of this gun is for your own needs and that you will comply with all laws.
It's a large responsibility to carry a gun and you need to know the laws of your state to do so -- and the moral implications are and should be in the back of your mind at all times..
best wishes
Roger

Full auto weapons are called Title Three weapons, and can be owned legally by us citizens.
You must get a Tax Stamp for each weapon from the ATF. To get this Stamp, you must fill out an extensive application, pass a very thorough background investigation, and pay ( the last time I checked, it may be higher now) a $200 fee. The fee is for the Stamp only. Then you must buy the weapon from a licenced Title Three dealer, and that is VERY expensive.
Once you own the weapon, you must obey the laws about storing and transporting these weapons. The ATF can come to your house and do spot checks to make sure you are complying with the law.

kja63 needs a good enema!! A Glock 18 is a semi-automatic pistol. Unless local laws prohibit it, it is perfectly legal to own, and in states like Georgia and Florida, they don't have to be registered. I have a gun safe full of firearms, all of which are legal to own, and none of them are registered!!

I don't believe that USA citizens are allowed to own automatic weapons. Semi-automatics can be registered. And I know many semi-automatics can then be (illegally) converted to automatics.
I don't know if there are special exceptions granted for collectors if they disable the automatic firing.

Actually it is, there are special licences you have to buy before you can own one and they are really expensive. Ask a reputable gun dealer about the licence to own one but get ready to pay, I have heard they can run up to 2500 dollars.

Depends on your local laws. Go ask at a local gun shop or police station.
