it's a pride thing...you never want to be considered "washed- up". the industry changes so much, it's hard to keep up with the latest trends and sounds and be with the "in crowd'- lots of artists have lost touch with their fan base once they drop off the scene..

the reason a person would hate a comeback is simple. You would have to admit you were a HASBEEN.
Any person that has fallen into Hasbeen status and then tries a world tour is on a comeback.

because they have this strange belief that they never went anywhere. The believe that they are still playing in our homes and on our car steros
