Hi,

Usually Mathematicians know programming better than programmers. When I mean know, I mean they already have the algorithms and steps of creating a program. Maybe the hard part is making the program, but they should already have the idea of the algorithm in place.

For your question, creating scietific programs is relatively simple. Math in programming is the simplest of all things. So if you wanted to create a program within 'C', you can use the Math.h library. Similar libraries within C/C++/C#/JAVA. The only thing you need to do is learn the basics of programming.

I recommend you to pick any decent book in your library, from Wiley or Oreily and learn the basics of programming, they will teach you about ARRAYS, Functions, VAriables, etc. And I believe you would pick up from that.

For example say you wanted to calculate a big equation in C#, the only thing you need to is use the Math namespace to access the Mathematics functions such as Power, SquareRoot, etc....

If you tell me what your doing exactly, I guess I could help you. But you need to know basic knowledge of programming before starting. It isn't hard , it is pretty nice and simple. If you put your love into the creation of the software, then you will finish in no time!.

Good Luck

they always need people having domain knowledge, it would be better that you specilize in field of ur choose and then look for a job as Business Analyst in a software company specializing in your field.
