Which one has a longer lasting effect in relaxation? Assuming time and money is not a concern and the "feel good" feeling during massaging is discounted.

Stretching will stretch your muscles out and keeps all your connective tissue limber and keeps the blood flowing through them.

Massage is more of a relaxation technique though - certainly having a massage is more relaxing than a stretching routine.

I've had chronic back pain for years and I can say that I feel good after both stretching and massage. I usually feel pain free for 24-48 hours after a full body massage but stretching never completely takes care of my pain. I always have to have someone knead out the knots.

To specifically answer your question though, strictly speaking in terms of relaxation - I would say massage is better than stretching. It's easier to do breathing techniques during massage and you can achieve a long lasting relaxed state.
