1. They have sprays which you can use. The directions are on the bottle.
2. Wet the brush, put a tiny bit of shampoo on it. Scrub a little, and brush against a kleenex to take of the excess makeup. Rinse out.
btw...Always hang upside down for the water to drip out and not ruin the handle, and also to keep the brushes shape.

I just read an article in Good Housekeeping about this. Use a mild antibacterial soap. Gently work it through the brush with water. Shake out the brush and let it air dry. They do recommend once a month cleaning.

Give your brushes a wipe with a baby wipe or spray with an anti bacteria brush spray after every use. And once a week wash in baby shampoo and conditioner and leave to dry flat. Best brushes to buy are made of real hair - like sable and if you buy superior brushes they will not get damaged by frequently washing them. And yes, if you don't wash them regularly you will get a build up of bacteria which could lead to skin breakouts.

I clean my brushes with baby shampoo. It's gentle and yet affective. Make sure you run them under the water until all the suds and makeup are out of the brush. Then lay the brushes flat to dry.

Soap and water.
Gently wet the brush and rub on the bar of soap. Rinse with brush facing down (as to not disturb the bristles).
Pat dry in a paper towel and follow with dip or a spritz with rubbing alcohol to kill any bacteria.
Store to dry.
You're done!
See wasn't that easy!?
