I am 21, going on 22, and don't know how to swim. As a child I took some lessons and learned how to float, put my head in the water, touch the bottom of the pool, blow bubbles, but nothing else. I didn't go any further in my lessons than that. Is it too late to learn how to swim now, or should I go for it? Because I really want to overcome my fear of drowning, and I know the best way to conquer your fear is to face it.

no it's not to late to learn to swim.

take some lessons or go with a friend you really trust and you'll see, after a few try's you'll feel more comfortable, in the end you'll feel confident enough to try and really swim

Jump right in or have a friend push you in. When I was 2, my dad just threw me into the pool. I learned to swim really quite quickly.

I am 28 and still dont know. I can float though. You're never too old but you may be in a class with 5 year olds like Billy Madison. LOL - just kidding.

sure, you're never too old to learn.

check with your local community college or YMCA and see if they have swim lessons for adults.
