Jordan's dunk over Ewing was a great, great move!
Dominique was the best in-game dunker in NBA history...he had some dunks over Larry Bird, and Robert Parrish that were incredible...
However, Jordan's foot was over the foul line when he took off on that dunk (I have it on video, taped as it happened). When ESPN, or the NBA shows that dunk today, they ALWAYS pick up the action after Jordan has already taken off, so that he fans won't find out that he was actually over the line when he took off... Jordan has never taken off from BEHIND the foul line and dunked (FYI, Julius Erving's foot was also over the line in the 1976 ABA slam dunk contest).
I saw Wilt and Kareem perform some awesome dunks over each other, and Kareem and Bill Walton had a nice little duel going during the late 70s as well.
I recall a dunk Kareem had over Ralph Sampson (7'4"), Kareem had the ball on the low post and drove to his left across the lane, and windmilled a slam dunk over Sampson... I have that one on tape...
Magic had a great dunk over Sampson as well, in 1986 (have that on tape too)... Maurice Lucas snared a rebound, hit Magic just before half court with an outlet pass, and Magic took it the rest of the way, weaving in and out of three defenders, and then taking off just inside the foul line, finishing with a one hand tomahawk over Sampson...
Julius Erving's dunks during his ABA days were another animal altogether!

the best dunk i ever saw was when Michael Jordan went baseline in the eastern conference finals, was trapped and quick spun out of it only to have Patrick Ewing waiting, and keep in mind the no dunk on Ewing but MJ flushed it down on the big man and slam him down in the process while pumping his fist at Ewing as he lay on his back, letting him and the world know why he is call he airness, air Jordan, the air up there, that was the greatest dunk ever.

honestly... when andre iguadala bounced it off of the BACKSIDE Of the backboard caught it and then flew around to the other side for a reverse... omg i thought the competition was OVER. nate robinson shouldnt have won.. that was one hell of a dunk and doesnt get enough credit.. however the best dunk has to be jordan's free throw monster dunk.. whoah.
