JAKARTA (Reuters) - A strong undersea earthquake off the southern coast of Indonesia's Java island on Monday triggered a tsunami that swept away buildings at a popular beach resort and killed at least 11 people, according to local news reports.

There were no reports of casualties or damage in any other country. But the news caused panic across the region, which is still recovering from a tsunami less than two years ago that left nearly 230,000 people killed or missing, mostly in Indonesia.

The official Antara news agency said 11 people had been killed along the southern Java coast on Monday.

Yes, I expect this trend to continue for serveral months since the tetonic plate is shifting. This is the reason for the volcanic activity in Indonesia as well. Thousands were evacuated and hundreds of homes taken by the lava.
It's sad, but hey as long as there's all this natural disaster, the Indonesian radical muslims (who hate Americans) will be preoccupied with the safety of their people, and not plot some evil plan against us.
The only thing is that it concerns me about California, since it sits on an adjacent tetonic plate... An earthquake is long overdue.
