There are so many reasons for a delay in menstrual period. Usually a cycle will be a regular 28 days period to a 33days period. If you are in menarche it is still an intermittent period usually the next period is after several months. Sometimes, there are hormonal imbalance, pregnancy, medications, disease that may interfere with the regular cycle. In most women it normally goes with the cycle of the moon. It will be better if you keep a record of your menses. In that way you will know your cycle.

Could be anything from stress to poor diet. If you lose too much weight it can cause your period to become irregular or stop altogether. Mine has been delayed a couple days before. Probably nothing to it!

Get used to it...I've had my period for 15 years now and it rarely comes on time
But to answer your question for the most part there is no rhyme or reason why its late, so I wouldn't be worried

Because sometimes that happens. Doctors keep learning more every year about your periods. Then number one thing they have learned is that it is rarely regular (without the pill).
