depends. are they trying to run your life? not long then. if they don't listen to reason and follow your rules (being your home)..then they need to either leave or straighten up. if they're acting fine, then i'd let them stay as long as it wasn't a bother to my marriage.

Is this my husband? Are you trying to find out how much longer I will let your parents live with us before I move out? (If its not, they have been living with us FOUR YEARS!!!)
if they have the money, they need to get out. If they dont have the money, then the children need to divide the cost of getting them their own home. Its too stressful and causes nothing but problems for everyone. It will destroy your marriage if they live in your house too long. I think that they should never stay longer than six months.
and if this is my husband posting this.. they have until December.

I think I would put them in a hotel room for as many nights as I thought I could get away with, and let them stay at my house, a couple of days.

not long at all, seeing how i dont like mine. but to be fair, atleast a month. in that time, they should be able to get a job and some leads on a place to stay. might need some extra time to save up to move, though. good luck!

As long as they're making an effort to find a job, and a place to live etc. It could take a week, or a couple months. God Bless
