I saw a movie this weekend that was about the beginning of the Nazi invasion in germany. The movie was set in Germany and centered around a boy and a girl and the girl's teacher. The girl went to the American school and the boy went to the Nazi school. The boy fell in love with the girl (of course), but when the war broke out (they were adults by then), he was an officer in the Nazi army and she was sent to a labor camp because she was born in Germany. Her teacher tried to find her to get her out of the country. She refused. She did not agree with their ways and was very difiant & non-conforming. The boy wanted her to conform because they were going to sterilize her, she said no she would not, she ran, she was caught and they tried to whip her. He stopped it and they were both thrown in jail. They then went to trial and he denounced Hitler and the war on the radio-they were both shot.

It is an old movie and it was in black and white. I do not know any of the people who were in the movie. They all looked familar, but I couldn't put names with faces.

I don't know the movie title, but you might be able to search the TV listings on yahoo to find it. It will allow you to put in the date and time then all you have to do is locate the channel and it should tell you the name of the movie

http://www.imdb.com has some pretty serious search capabilities.

For instance you can search by the names of characters in the movies, or by the actors' real names if you recognized anyone.

I tried searching for plots along the lines of what you described but didn't come up with anything that seemed likely. You might want to try it out yourself though, since you actually saw the movie and might come up with some more appropriate keywords/details.

The sound of music is a happy film! It doesn't sound like anything I've ever seen, but it does have interesting elements from other films, like life is beautiful. Do you know anyone who was in the film?

Sorry, it sounds really familiar, but I can't think of the name. I'll post it later if it comes to me.
