Taboo Rules?

In taboo, are you allowed to use opposites even if the word is not on the list? For example, if black is the word and white is not one of the 5 words that you can't use, can you say white? Also, is the blue side of the cards harder or the pink side?

Yeah you can use any word that isnt on the card as long as it works and the blue side is the harder side i think
