My dog is big and playful and loves to chase balls and run. His dog is a little blonde headed cocker spaniel. He says he doesn't like my dog. He wont even pet him. Is my boyfriend a femmie? Is his dog any indication of what kind of man he is?

I dont know does he show any other traits, i think that the dog thing probably is not an indication of his inner sexual orientation, maybe he is a softie and likes cuddly things, maybe he has a fear of big dogs like from childhood, maybe he feels threatened for your feelings towards the dog.

Maybe your dog stinks or slobbers, perhaps after you bathed him, your boyfriend would have a more open mind towards petting him.

Cocker Spaniels are such good dogs... and maybe you don't pay very much attention to HIS dog.

Look on the bright side, at least he LIKES dogs, he could be totally anti-dog and then you'd really have a problem!

Actually both dogs are good dogs. There is no such thing as a bad dog. Spaniels are good dogs, my girlfriend had one that had epilepsy and we had to feed him a pill in cheese for it.
Is your boyfriend a femme? Not if he'd take your dog for a run and go jogging with him, and leave his dog at home or have him go along. :)

Cocker spaniels aren't ''femme'' dogs. They are right there in the middle, both genders can have one, and still be themselves.
Maybe your dog is too energetic for him. Cocker spaniels tend to be more laid-back.

YOU HAVE A CHOCOLATE LAB??! You must be the happiest lady in christendom!

In seriousness, sounds like your man is jealous of the attention that you give your dog both on his, and his dogs behalf. Buy him and his dog some new toys to play with and give them lots of cuddles, they'll get over it.

lemme guess your dog is a boy. male dogs with female owners generally think they're the end all be all and don't like other males, it may be that your dog is a real poop to him and you just don't see it. on the other hand cockers are b**ch-dogs, that no male should own. tell mr. fancypants (aka the boyfriend) to gird up his loins and love a real dog...yours.

Your bf might be a little jealous of your dog...if so he needs to grow up a little.
