And I don't mean only sexual passion.

I'm kind of inconsistent. I get fired up by something; get obsessed with it for a while; then drop it and move on to something else but never quite abandonning my earlier interests anyway. I can come back to them, drop them again...but kind of integrating the whole into my life to make any sense of it.

I am very curious about many things so I do some research which leads me to something else etc...

For ex. for a period of time, I would read anything about travel, then move on to forensics , then mystery, metaphysics.....then go back again at the beginning....

I am passionate about dogs and love them dearly. I don't know when it was born because it has been with me as far back as I can recall. I almost think it was in my genes on the day I was born. They all hold a special place in my heart. They never tire me out and always make me laugh. They are so compassionate and loving. I think we come to this life with our passions. I suppose some develop later in life, but that hasn't happened to me and I'm currently 53 years old.

Your passion is something that is on the inside and it is dormant. It is an emotional response to something you see on the outside and bang, thats it. You want to learn wbout it and do it.
You can't stop being interested, and you can't see what other people see in their passion - trainspotting, for example. It does nothing for you.
Its like an obsession and compulsion and I guess for some poeple it becomes stalking a star or something unhealthy.

I think it comes about at the time you start having a personality or maybe when you can recollect thought.
A child may have a favorite toy or food.....it may carry on to adulthood, if its a passion.

A record player kind of served as a babysitter when I was very young (like 3 or 4) and we became good friends as it taught me a lot of good songs. So music became a big part of my life. I was also lucky to have some very inspiring music teachers along the way.
