The KEY to handling percent questions is to always remember the basic formula:

%age = ( Portion / Base ) x 100

If your portion is 10 and your base is 20, then the %age would be calculated by dividing 10 by 20, and then multiplying this by 100. Well 10 divided by 20 = 0.5. 0.5 x 100 = 50%.

To solve your question, simply plug the pieces of info you have into this formula and then solve for the missing piece.
