The dosage is based on weight and also it depends on which kind of Tylenol you're going to give. If you use Infants concentrated drops, here's the dosage by weight.

6-11 lbs = 0.4 ml
12-17 lbs = 0.8 ml
18-23 lbs, 0.8+0.4ml

This is from a dosage sheet I got from my son's pediatrician. It will be best to give your doctor a call to make sure.

Ask your ped for a dosing chart when you go in. It goes by weight rather than age at this stage of the game. You will most likely end up giving tylenol for a fever after the shots, but I, personally, wouldn't give it beforehand. We just did the 2-month shots about a week ago and were pretty lucky. My daughter fussed the rest of the day and was a little fussy and feverish the next and slept the third day. Others I know said their babies cried for a week. Here's hoping your not one of those!

The lowest dosage, which is .3mL. However, you should call his doctor first, as some doctors will tell you not to give him Tylenol before he gets the shots. For one thing, today's immunizations don't always cause fever, and for another, sometimes the doctors want to know if the shot DID cause a fever because he might be allergic to it.

There' s a reason that dosages for infants isn't listed on the bottle - there are too many factors that go into the decision of how much to give in the early months.
PLEASE - DON'T get your information on line. Your son's health is SO much more important!
Call his pediatricians office and ask them - then follow their advice.

I would wait until you go to the doctor. They can give you more accurate dosage information than what's on the package. As they will give you ranges from .4 to .6 to .8 and everything in between! If you still want to give him some before the visit, give him the lowest possible amount, based on his weight, an hour before his appointment.

Call the doctor, they will tell you how much and how often. Also ask them if they have a sheet that gives the correct doses by weight. I always keep mine in the diaper bag so it's always with my child and I have it handy. The first time my child got shots at the doctor, I didn't know beforehand you were supposed to give them Tylenol, but they gave her some there before the checkup so it had time to get in her system before getting the shots.

You should call your pharmacist. He or she has knows how to do the dosage based on your baby's weight so you are safe and that way you can give the baby the Tylenol before you go to the doc. Make sure you know his exact weight before you call.

It depends on how much he weighs. I got a sheet from our doctor about dosage info. you should be able to too. The sheet I have says 6-11lbs 1/2 dropper (0.4 ML of concentrated drops)
If he's heavier than that, or you'd like a copy of the whole sheet, please email me at moneymakingathome@yahoo.com You can also call the dr's office and talk to a nurse.

Call the doctor office that you are going to take him to and speak to a nurse. Never ask for medication advice online because you have people out there who can and will give you the wrong dose.

Read the instructions on the bottle or call the nurse at the hospital.

.4 is the normal dosage, but wait until you get to the Dr. and ask them to be sure. They will even give you a sample pack and a list of dosages.
