any blood, loss of the mucus plug, cramping/contractions which get increasingly regular and stronger, water breaking are all signs of labour.
Peeing more often could indicate that the baby has dropped down (engaging into the cervix) and is thus pressing on your bladder-- you would also feel like there is more room up top so you can breathe more easily -- but sometimes it is easy to miss this sensation
You should also be seeing your OB/GYN weekly and they will check to see if you are dilating or if your cervix is thinning out -- all signs that your body is preparing to get the baby out.
I don't think Everyone will go through nesting though I can see why they would -- just being anxious to get everything prepared before the baby arrives.
good luck ! labour and delivery aren't that bad -- it's the first 6 weeks of baby's life that are tougher than anything!
But you'll get through!

Wow, its getting close! But, peeing every 15-20 minutes is completely normal! You have a baby on your bladder. LOL Some signs are sleeping ALL the time (your body storing up energy), the baby "dropping" down into position, losing your mucus plug (a bloody discharge, kinda thick) and your water breaking (possibly). If you feel the need to make a BM and cant, it could be the onstart of labor....go to the ER right away if you experince the constant need to BM with no results, or your water breaking. And of course there are contractions getting stronger and almost always more regular, and definately stronger....those are real ones, not Braxton Hicks.
Good luck!

I'm surprised that it took you this long to have to pee so much. But that could be a sign that your baby has dropped and is now on your bladder. When you lose your lovely mucus plug and your water breaks, those are sure signs that you are in labor. You will definitely feel the difference between real contractions and false labor. Good Luck, you'll do great.

Nesting--i kept waiting, but nothing is going to make me interested in cleaning!!
The peeing could simply be the very large baby relaxing on your bladder!
I started feeling slight menstral cramp type pains to start with, nothing that got my attention at first. Then, after a few hours, I relialized I was getting them at intervals (15 mins).
Especially for your first, don't race to the hospital at the first sign of pains--lay down, and time them. Call the docs office and ask when they want you to come in. no need to go to the trouble of showing up, just to be sent home for a few more hours.
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would look for any feelings of cramping or pains, even in your lower back. Those are signs that things are progressing and your baby could be on its way.
Congratulations and good luck!
P.S. Unfortunately, I never went through a 'nesting' phase, although I was hoping I would. My house could have used it!

Not everyone goes through nesting. I don't think frequent urination is a sign of labor.

It's hard to know for sure just from what people tell you. When I was pregnant I thought I was in labor twice before the real thing. And when the real thing happened I didnt realize it cause I thought I was having braxton contractions again. I didnt realize that it was the real thing till my water broke in dunkin donuts! Luckily I was in the bathroom lol.

Peeing a lot is a sign. You should go to the hospital just to be safe.
