As a child I remember some classical music featured in uk tv adverts - like the 'Old Spice' (after shave) adverts with Carl Orff's O Fortuna from Carmina Burana; Largo from New World Symphony by Dvorak. And only later found out that they were established classics.

What others can you come up with?

Morning for the Peer Gynt Suite has probably been used before.

The Flower duet by Deliebes (I think), British Airways and the Ford Galaxy!

I remember when we sang Carmin Burana at school everyone went 'what's that?' and when we started with O Fortuna (the first and last song) we all went "Oh, Old Spice!

Bethoven's Fifth has been used in commercials over and over again. My memory recalls a group singing the theme in Tu-Tu-Tu TUMS!!
