We have tournaments today. I would like tips on:
-Batting -- these girls pitch 50-60 miles per hour!!! How to hit faster, hearder... etc...
-Catching Pop Flies
-Fielding ground balls
And anything else. Recently, I've been watching the softball World Cup and the USA team is SO good. I wish my team was like that.
Do you have any tips on how to hit better for my last games?

I mean harder, not hearder. I know some people are picky here for that kind of stuff. LOL

Wow. A crash course in softball . Well here goes.
When batting swing through the ball. Make contact and run like hell. Make them throw you out.
Catching Pop flies use two hands as a target and try and catch the ball. Goodluck.Dont be scared. If the ball hits you so what? Get over it and make the play.
When fielding a ground ball -center yourself in the path of the grounder and put the open glove on the ground and try to intercept the ball. Even if you miss the play you still might be able to make a play.
When throwing the ball make sure you concentrate on an accurate throw. Even if it bounces there at least it will get to where it needs to go.
If you still suck- be a cheerleader, and dont forget to heckle the other team -

ok my bantam baseball team the guys are pitchin 75 miles per hour ok. Hiting shouldent be a problem just swing earlyer and on a level dont pull the ball up catching flies is easy. Try to get a little behind the ball. ground balls is easy.

Best suggestion is to cut down on your swing, hold the bat a little lower, about shoulder height . This will get your bat into the hitting area a little quicker. You can also stand as far back in the batter's box as you can. Lighter bat will help as well. Good luck
