Age and rank usually- Some people look down on me because I'm "just a lieutenant" and automatically dismiss anything I have to say. They see someone 25 years old, who regardless of accomplishments, is just 25 years old and not worth listening to. Granted, I may lack experience, but I know what I do well enough to answer questions, or find the answers. If I say something in answer to a problem- no one ever listens. Hours if not days are spent finding a sollution, only for it to be what I initially suggested. Of course no one would remember the lieutenant came up with it in the beginning... often a cause for much frustration. Oh well, their loss! :)

Another is gender- If I open the door for a girl, it's not because she's a girl. I've gotten lectured by a feminazi or two who said they're "strong enough to open the door themselves and don't need some male to do it for them" To which I replied, "I open the door as a courtesy to ANYONE who happens to be near it because I think myself a kind person, which is more than I can say of someone who would automatically make assumtions about my character without taking the time to get to know me." On both occasions I recieved a gushing apology (and hopefully they learned some humility). Everyone should be treated as an equal- if in the past you recieved mistreatment from a person of a certain sex, race, age, etc. It doesn't mean everyone of that type is the same way- not everyone deserves your anger and rudeness... you're just becoming what they are by participating in reverse discrimination and will wind up a bitter person who will never be happy.

Some churches really annoy me with their view on outsiders. Churches especially are supposed to be welcoming to strangers and newcomers- otherwise they're not following Jesus' teachings. They're hypocrites and by making people feel unwelcome in a house of God, they're making Christians look bad- further alienating us from society. If I walk into a church in jeans and a t-shirt, or a suit and tie, the welcome needs to be warm. If I get cold stares, whispers, or abrupt treatment, I'm saddened that such a place is even called a church when it is just obviously a place of stagnation and decay.

ALL rudeness bothers me....The ones that get to me the most are racism, gender and stereotypes. It doesnt bother me too much when people talk about my state or age. I think all rudeness is completely unnecessary.

Religious Beliefs: It's funny, but the prejudice that bothers me most is also the one I'm willing to discuss at greatest length and with the greatest amount of compassion. Maybe this is because God is the most important, overarching idea in my life.

It really bothers me when people think that I'm like a year or two younger than I am, just by looking at me (I'm kind of short) and act all sassy about it when I tell them the truth. That happened on an airplane to me when my seat was by the emergency exit, and trust me, I was ticked!

When people try to convert me to Christianity. That is extremely rude, because it is a very personal matter. It's a little rude to even ask.
