I love my Converse. I got them 2 years ago and they're nice and worn in. I take a lot of effort to wear them originally but it's kind of discouraging when I take all that trouble and then see an eleven year old next to me wearing them with a miniskirt and a tank. Are they really just a fad?

Forever.....don't worry about it....in about 2 weeks the teeny boppers will find something else to wear with their trucker hats and I heart Ashton tees! They will be over converse soon enough....don't worry about it....there are alot of people out there that know how to appreciate them and I don't think that they will go away anytime soon!!

By the way Sukey32....you are thinking of ADIDAS....not converse....Run DMC wore the ADIDAS w/o laces..... come on now!!

Converse shoes are a classic! They have been popular since RUN DMC sported then sans laces onstage in the 80's.

I dont know why people keep trying to bring these back. It will probably be here forever. They're ugly.

They've held onto their popularity for more than 50 years, so I think that they'll probably stay around for a while
