OK, are you saying that you WERE on the patch and pill, but now are not? If you have been off BC for a year and have been trying for a year, then it may be time to see a fertility specialist. Sometimes, it can be just hormones trying to straighten out, but after a year with no luck, most doctors recommend you see a specialist.
Good Luck!

So, I don't know if I understand your question completely, but if you're on the pill or the patch, you're going to have a very hard time getting pregnant. If you want to get pregnant, stop using the patch and the pill

Birth control will not help you get pregnant. Get off those and try again. If you are already off them then maybe you aren't having sex on the right days. One way to ensure you hit those "right days" have sex every day for an entire month. Sure it is exhausting but it is good practice. My doctor told me if I had tried for over a year then he wanted to see me for some fertility treatments. I ended up getting pregnant almost 1 year after trying.
See your doctor and find out what the problem could be however if you are still on those birth control methods get off them and try again. I thought the patch was discontinued???
Good luck and keep trying.

No one here can really answer this for you. I was on the pill for years and when I went off to try and get pregnant it took nine months before I conceived. However my second child was conceived quite randomly without my even trying. Everyone is different. They say that if you have been trying for a year and nothing has happened this is a good time for fertility testing, so I guess that is your next move. Good luck, I know how frustrating it can be to try over and over and have nothing happen.

You might want to have your Dr or OB/Gyn to check to see if you are ovulating. Its just a simple blood test that they do on the 28th day of your cycle
