Tell her how sorry you are to hear of her loss and if she needs someone to talk to you're there for her.

Breaking up is a lot like death. She'll have to grieve.

Just let her know that as a friend, you love her and that you will be there for her. Knowing that she has someone on her side will help her through the difficult time. And don't get discouraged if you can't cheer her up right away. She will need time.

Tell her that it is a an experience though bad , yet take it positively, as it has given space to find out her own weaknesses and his too. Tell her to meditate, if that fellow was not worthy of her love than why sad, if she wants to cry, let her cry, it will cleanse her from bad emotions, and she will be balanced soon.

yeah the single most important thing you can do is be there and listen..let her vent. In my opinion, trying to distract her isn't that helpful, at least in the beginning. She needs to talk about it. Keep asking questions to keep the topic going. She'll feel better after talking.

Just let her know you are there for her and see if she wants to go out for a movie, walk or just to talk to get her mind off of the breakup.

There is no way to make light of losing a loved one. What you need to do at most is have her realize that she isn't gonna get anywhere by pouting about.
