i just revued all your questions dont try to recharge without a gauge set it will cost you $50 to$100
it only hooks up 1 way and is easy low side pressure 40 to 50 high side 200 to 225 dont over chargr most shops will fill it for $20 to $30 plus the r314 your car takes
dont charge it with a low side gauge only

I have been a mechanic for thirty years follow the freon lines. The evaporator and silver or black colored accumulator are located on the passenger fire-wall both lines are there. The aluminum/rubber threaded in "larger hose" follow it to the compressor.
