I definitely believe that Neil Armstrong took "one giant leap for mankind". Why are so many people convinced that it was all a hoax, anyway?

Neil Armstrong and 11 other men really did walk on the Moon. But it really WAS done to "overcome Russia", so you can be sure that if it had been faked the Russians would not have helped keep the secret, as some Moon hoax people claim they have done.

Yeah that's the ticket, they spent billions just to overcome Russia by staging a moon landing. The LEM was built near where I grew up (at Grumman). I knew people, engineers, who worked on it. It was real.

It's far easier to go to the Moon than it is to keep a fool-proof conspiracy going for 36 years. He and and 11 other astronauts walked on the Moon.

There is no credible evidence that the event didn't happen. NASA had already overcome Russia so there was no incentive there either.
