If he is in a crib it is unlikely he can get out at this stage. Most babies learn to get out closer to a year and a half to two years. First he needs to learn to stand and walk, then climb. I'm assuming that you mean he is in a crib, if not and he is in some sort of toddler bed with rails then it is a different story. Depending on how high the railings are it is possible that he could heave himself over.

Absolutely. He needs to be in a crib or some kind of bed that has rails or barricades to keep him from falling off.

There certainly is! Babies can sustain injuries from falling from a bed or any other elevated surface. Please take precautions while your baby is in bed to prevent him from falling off. If he sleeps in a crib, make certain that the mattress is moved to a low setting to prevent baby from falling over the side. Take care and good luck!

if he's in a crib - put it on lowest matt setting - if this doesn't give him too much challenge, convert it to a toddler bed/buy a toddler bed and flip-down side panel or put just the matt on the floor and eliminate the bed altogether. Safety is better than aesthetics.

Yea there is. Judging from the question I would assume he is in a youth bed and not still in a crib. I would install hospital bedrails. They are not expensive to put in and they will prevent him from falling off the bed.

Is he in a crib, or a toddler bed? If he is in a toddler bed then you need to put him back in a crib. They need to be in a crib until he is a toddler. If he is in a crib with the rails up then he should not fall out unless he is climbing out of it.

Does he roll around in his sleep or when he wakes up? My sister had the same problem with her kids rolling around in bed. She made her daughter a bed frame to fit the matress made out of sprinkler pipes stuff. That way she made it as tall as she wanted so her daughter; if she did rollout of bed it wouldn't be that far from the ground. also she made a rail so her daughter wouldn't rollout that easy.

If he's not in a crib, you should make certain you've at least installed bedrails on the bed.

The danger is that once he starts pulling himself up (any day now), he can easily flip over them.

A crib really is a safer solution.

There is a possabily he might if your not that careful. Baracades help a lot.. trust me... Lay some pillows down on the floor near his bed. move stuff he could hit his head on.. Once he settles down it should be fine..
