i think it's supposed to be an ironic thing.
Like All is fair in love:
Well, for a lot of people love isn't fair, and they lose they're first love
War: Well someone always has the advantage in war so really it's not fair
I think it's also something that's supposed to be used in spite
but i don't know, it's probably also an opinion type of thing, depends on how you interpret it.
As for the most ridiculous expression......
Do you know what it’s like to love and be alone?
Because no one pays attention to it so it might as well not be there.

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.

Holy War.

We are going to war because it is the right thing to do.

Those 3 are about stoopid.

We are sending in advisors to help stabilize the new goverment.

Our forces killed that man because he was suspected of something.

One day, this logic is going to be on our shores, and that will be the end of Democracy.

"It's better to have love and lost than to never to have loved at all"

My opinion about this phrase: In that case, if I was going to get hurt, I wouldn't put myself in that position in the first place and save my sanity.

Also, the saying:

"Never mix business with pleasure"

My opinion about this phrase: For people who are working for an adult industry, this is an exception.

You can't see the forest for the trees!

Don't count your chickens before they hatch!

If it doesn't rain it pours!

Don't go and spend all of your money in one place!
