Will you stop beating yourself up. It's like 2003 traumatized Tiger fans--that and about 100 years of Lions football, but I can save that for a different directory. The Tigers have the best record in baseball. If they play like they belong, they can go all the play. The Red Sox had it in 2004. The White Sox had it last year. The Cardinals always have it. Once in a while a team like the Marlins in 2003 are too clueless to know that they don't have it, but that's not the Tigers this year. Look for them to take care of business. Detroit will win 2 of 3.

I am with Georgie, of course.I think the Tigers will take the White Sox, like the Yankees did and the Red Sox well ok we won 2 out of 3, but anyways I think the Tigers will slaughter the White Sox, who by the way will not go as far this year and win the whole thing.White Sox will be at home watching all on TV.Georgie they will not win 1 or 2, they will kick some *** and win all three.Lets go Tigers.

Currently the Tigers are on a major roll....everyone on their team is having a career year and so far they have avoided injuries. The real test will be when they have a major injury or their pitching starts to falter a bit. Kenny Rogers has always been a first half pitcher, his stats especially in recent years have dropped off during the second half of the season. Ivan Rodriguez as a catcher will probably not have a good a 2nd half as he did the first half...nothing against him personally that's just the way it is with all catchers. The season eventually begins to wear them down. Currently the Sox are down, their pitching is having problems and they just aren't playing good baseball. The Tigers need to take at least 2 out of 3, if they don't they could be in trouble later.

It's imperetive that the Tigers claim at least one out of the series. If they get swept, they let the White Sox right back into the pennant race, and it will be a struggle from then on out. They have to seriously damage the Sox with this series. They may not sweep, but they must take at least two to stay ahead of the Sox going to August.

Hasn't anybody seen the look in the Tigers' eyes this year? Can't you all just tell they want it so bad they can taste it? They're either gonna sweep or take at least 2 out of 3.
I know this because when a team is ahead, they don't relax! They try even harder to keep that momentum. Ever watch football? Same thing.
Yes, they can lose momentum if they're not careful, but the Tigers show no signs of slowing down.
Let's all just say it together : Go Tigers!!!!!!!! Do it for Georgie!

This series all depends on how well the White Sox starters pitch. Right now, they're struggling. Buehrle and Garcia both got rocked in New York. In addition, the White Sox made a number of uncharacteristic errors, both fielding and on the basepaths.
I look for Chicago to win Tuesday behind Garland, lose Wednesday behind Vasquez, and win Thursday with Contreras.

I think the White Sox showed their true colors after that series with the Yankees. If they can't beat the Yankees then I think the Tigers have a pretty good shot to take this series. You might go so far as to say that the Tigers might sweep them.

I'm not a White Sox fan (actually I'm a Cubs fan) but I will offer my 2 cents.
The way Chicago is playing right now (see the Yankees sweep) this is an opportune time for Detroit to play them. I haven't seen how the pitching matchups will line up, but the White Sox hurlers seem to have hit a wall. And rumors are swirling that Chicago is looking to move either Garcia or Vazquez. Evidently they are pursuing Tom Gordon.
