After sitting for a period of time when I stand up I get REALLY dizzy and my vision gets all blurry, It only lasts for about 45-60 seconds. But it's scarry, sometimes I feel like I could faint. This happens everytime I stand up.

And I drink alot of coffee everyday, but really not much sugar at all. come to think of it, the last time i was to the doctor for a UTI, they found traces of sugar in my urin, could that be a factor?

I'm don't have a healthcare background or anything but it sounds like you may have LOW blood pressure. Either that or you may not be eating enough sugar. If your blood sugar is low you may experience these symptoms. Go check it out with your doctor. Whenever I donate blood I feel exactly the same way. That's why they make you sit for a while and drink some juice and have some cookies, to replace your blood sugar.

I had this happen in the past but not all the time. Do you get up real fast? Are you not eating, i.e your on an empty stomach?
I had those symptoms when I was in basic training 16 years ago. Are you on any prescription medication? if so check each one for the side effects you are having. Do you take a good multi-vitamin and drink lots of water. Answer these questions and PM me if you still have not found the source of your dizzyness

No this is not high blood pressure - this sounds more like low blood pressure which could also be a problem! With low BP when you stand your BP 'bottoms out' (drops) and makes you feel dizzy with blurred vision! You need to see your doctor about this because it could be just as serios as high BP. The dr. can give you meds to help correct this problem!

I have the same issues. My problem is low blood pressure. Your best bet, is to try to get your blood pressure taken right after this episode.
If you find that your bp is low, some suggestions I found on webmd is to intake more caffeine and salt.
Before you do anything CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR!! Good luck!

Sounds to me actually like you may have LOW blood pressure. You should definitely make an appointment to see your Doctor TODAY! Or - if you don't have a doctor find a walk in clinic.

go to the doctor, you could also have a problem with your blood sugar. I do the same thing when my sugar gets low. and some people do it when it's too high. this can be very dangerous. so get to the dr. now.

You might be systolic, this happens when you have a low blood pressure, I would check it by the Dr. since this dizziness could be an effect of a lot of symptoms.

Do you stand up in a hurry? Try standing up slowly and see if you get the same feeling.
