Start out at home wearing them around the house, getting used to stairs and different surfaces like tiled floor, carpets, etc... then maybe venture out to get the mail, the store, gradually increasing your time in them.

i suggest you start off on carpet to try them out.. my sister busted her lip trying to walk on heels the first time.. she fell hard on the tile
