No - Israel in out of control

2006-07-17 02:31:09 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 1 3

I voted No. Israel reaction is totally out of control and injustified. They are hitting the wrong people.
This whole thing is Syrian provocation but most of the answers I am reading are totally overlooking that fact.
Nothing justifies the murder of civilians and the invasion of a sovereign democracy. Especially not because 2
soldiers have been kidnapped. A soldier is a soldier and very well knows what he is facing.
Lebanon is a small country and it is silly to say, it should have done this or that
when you don't really know what is happening there.
Lebanon CANNOT do anything against the Hezbollah as this terrorist organization is financed, armed and
supported by Syria and Iran and Lebanon army is in no way, shape or form to fight the Hezbollah. It is caught
in this awful episode.
Lebanon is the playground of Syria and Israel both and I don't see how destroying this little country is going to solve
anything.
It is rather coward if you ask me. I would have had more respect and tolerance for Israel if it had attacked the real
culprit, Syria instead of a defensless country.
I am deeply sorry to see Israel acting so violently and so blindly. It is unfortunate that the Israeli seem to be forgetting
what injustice is and how it feels to be the innocent target of violent and hateful actions.

Sorry about your friends daughter. It is a shame when civilians get caught in this mess. That said I am sorry to say YES-- the Israelis are doing what the need to do. If your country was attacked on two sides what would you do?? If Lebanon did not allow the Hezbollah to train and gather weapons and stay in S Lebanon ready to attack Israel at any time the Israelis would not be bombing.

Yes...I feel the Israeli response is very justified...Israel has given up a great deal to have some security. I can totally understand why Israel is at it's wits end . It Is surrounded by countries whose main goal is to "wipe Israel off of the planet". Israel has given up land to terrorists who should have used it wisely..instead they have turned it into a desert once again. Israel has had enough. Israel does not care about world opinion anymore and are responding because two of it's soldiers were kidnapped. I am 100% in favor of Israel destroying any aggressor from this point on.

I have a hard time justifying the leap to the invasion of a soverign democratic nation such as Lebanon. The rest of the world should condemn that action, not the Hezbollah response in self-defense. To the people in Lebanon it must be good that the bad "terrorist" bullies are on your side when the world allows another nation to invade and bomb your capital without warning or justification.

Soory about ur friends daughter
I vote : NO
israel is destroying all of lebanon infrastructure & kiling hundreds of CIV just for the stupid cause of returning !!! 2 !!! kidnapped soldiers,
thats totaly brutal and unjustified,
and no one ever freed a kidnaped soldier by launching total war on a whole nation!!!thats STUPID
even if they r fighting HEZB-ALLAH for the rockets, they should hit the small south strip were HEZB-ALLAH is located, not the whole Lebanon,& same for Gaza, ppl r dying their for no reason!!!
israel is the most weak, coward &terrorist nation on earth

I voted NO because Israel has no right to bomb and invade a country just because of the acts of people inside that country, if Israel has a very complicated situation in the middle east it is time to start looking at their own policies and not blaming somebody else.

Yes. Hezbollah attacked Israel, they have the right to defend themselves. If Lebanon wants to live in peace, they should have gotten rid of Hezbollah themselves. Instead, they allow Hezbollah to grow, then they complain when somebody else tries to take care of the problem. If you want to blame somebody for you friend's daughters death, blame Hezbollah, or the government of Lebanon that sat by and did nothing.

Yes I do...why?? Sad to say to me it really seems that violence and destruction is the only thing Hamas and Hezbolah understand. The ranting and raving about the dead arab civilians but NOT A PEEP about the dead Isreali civilians. Sunni and Shiite
strive to kill and mutilate EACH OTHER...EVERY DAY!!!!! And NOT A PEEP form the arab world about that atrocity. The head of Hezbolah talks about limits and red lines for Isreal but ABSOLUTELY NONE for the ARAB world???:?? TOTAL HYPOCRACY...it's DISGUSTING.The fact that beheading tapes are a big seller in the arab world speaks volumes. I try to be a reasonable person and it's sad that ANYONE'S kids die for rt wing religious WACKOS..christian OR muslim. NOBODY will win...it's a lose..lose situation for EVERYONE. Ever ask yourself why Iran is stirring the sh*t pot?????

Hezbollah has a stated goal of the obliteration of Israel. If some dude had a stated goal of wiping out my family and the authorities weren't going to stop him, I'd go get him, even if it meant trespassing. Israel is a lonely nation and they are tough as nails.

Groundhog Day (the middle East version) "On awaking the 'following' day he discovers that it is Groundhog Day again, and again, and again. First he makes use of this to his income, then comes the realisation that he's doomed to spend some thing else of eternity interior a similar position, seeing a similar people do a similar component each day."
