I don't think they can. Their hooves wouldn't be able to hold the needles and the string. So sorry but I don't think they can knit.

My Clydesdale, Lizzie, made me a sweater for my birthday. I couldn't have been more surprised, especially as I had completely forgotten her this year. The workmanship is pretty good and it has a lovely braided design; but, between you and me, it's a little tight in the chest and the arms are too long. I push them up though and you wouldn't believe how her long face lights up when she sees me wear it. It would make you cry, it would.

In the mane they jump right to it and always drop hitches.
they canter .... remember when to stop.

Of course. They have to wear their glasses though as they are long sighted and have trouble reading without them.
